The gameplay can seem really rough and unfinished at times, mostly in the Mystic Jungle stages where the character will just ignore a set of springs covering an entire waterpipe and just fall straight to their death, or on some Sonic stages where the boost doesn't seem to follow the intended path it wants you to take, sending you flying off the stage. The wispons also make the Avatar stages really easy due to how powerful they can be. Just like the story, most stages are really short, lasting one to two minutes for a decent player. Vector the Crocodile is still looking for the computer room.ĬONS:- The main story is rather short, and can be completed in roughly two or three hours, excluding the bonus levels and Episode Shadow.

I see all these people talking about crashes, though my game has only crashed once from start to finish, and an update was quickly released to fix these issues. He is also playable on a few Sonic stages in the main story! (Only after completing said stages once as Sonic.)

Your Avatar is also a full important part of the story, even appearing in cutscenes! As an added bonus, and if connected to the internet, you can choose to have a second Avatar, with you on the next stage, created by another fellow player, allowing you to switch between yours and theirs with the simple press of a button! With enough options to make a truly terrifying cheap Sonic, if you're into that. For the first time in the entire series, you get to create your own edgy Deviantart custom character, or as they call it, Avatar. And for once, we didn't get yet another remix of Green Hill. As always, Sonic offers an amazing soundtrack, and just like in Sonic Adventure 2, each playable character gets their own kind of music for their stages, with modern/electronic/synth songs for Sonic, more classic-themed songs for Classic and the return of vocals for the Avatar. Not sure what else to say about that, so rip. Played on the High graphics preset, the environments look amazing.
It's about taking back a world from an evil scientist actively hunting anyone who wouldn't submit to his rule. It's no longer only about kicking some evil scientist's butt for the fiftieth time. PROS:- Sonic Forces introduces us to a darker story than what past and/or recent Sonic titles got us used to. But sometimes, we just take these L's until SonicTeam eventually wants to figure out what works. I'll always be excited for his next major adventures. +The character creation is very fun and you can make some surprisingly good looking stuff despite the initial memes about "huh huh DeviantArt Sanic OC's"

+It attempts a very different story for the series which is bold (even if it falls flat) +As usual, the music is FIRE and this is a very unique soundtrack for Sonic And the custom character is just very clunky with combat that is not satisfying at all. Classic Sonic even has these rigid mechanics and weird unnatural caps on his abilities. It's just.boring? The level design is so flat and sterile with these weird mechanics that hold your hand. Honestly, it's not broken or really unplayable.
